Charming detached cottage nestling in landscaped gardens in the New Forest – ideal for walkers wishing to explore this popular area. Peaceful walks from the door!

Conveniently located in the New Forest, set slightly back from the A31 between nautical Southampton and Bournemouth with its golden sandy beach, this delightful converted single storey cottage is comfortably furnished to a very good standard with its own private terrace and garden furniture. Stroll across the beautifully maintained garden (shared with the owner) and through paddock gates which give direct access to the New Forest, with miles of picturesque heathland and a network of walking and cycling trails.
The New Forest National Park area covers 219 square miles which is abundant in wildlife and where cattle, donkeys, deer and ponies roam freely. It is ever popular all year round, and is suitable for all age groups. One can enioy exploring, cycling, horse riding or taking the many scenic walks. Water sports and fishing are within 2 miles. Discover some of the picturesque villages and towns close by which offer attractions and gardens such as Lyndhurst, Beaulieu National Motor Museum, Exbury Gardens and the riverside village of Bucklers Hard. Further afield, but well worth a trip, are Salisbury with its historic cathedral, Marwell Zoo, Highcliffe Castle, Bovington Tank Museum, the otter and owl sanctuary at The New Forest Wildlife Park, nautical maritime history at Southampton, and Paultons Theme Park with Peppa Pig World. There are also many retail shopping outlets within easy reach. A lovely thatched pub and restaurant is 1 mile down the lane.
The coastline, with its beaches at Bournemouth, Sandbanks and Poole, is within a short drive, and has golden beaches and many popular activities such as windsurfing, boating and swimming.
The cottage offers a well decorated, open plan living room with sofa bed, a kitchen and dining area with large patio doors opening to a private terrace. There is a bright, spacious bedroom with a separate bathroom containing a shower over corner bath, toilet and basin.
On your arrival there will be a welcome pack together with many leaflets displaying all the local amenities and attractions. Beach 12 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

    Alovely property in private garden with easy access to forest. All furnishings are of a high standard and inc. all you could need for a stay away. There is a good selection of country pubs offering nice food at reasonable prices and local shops as well as supermarkets all within easy reach.

    Fabulous little place, excellent care taken by Faye & John to make sure you want for nothing, absolutely everything you require is there for you,peaceful,amazing views in a 2 minute walk, very near many beautiful locations within an hour max away. Thankyou both for a fabulous break x

    The owners , Fay and John were lovely people Tilly our little dog really enjoyed herself , plenty of walks straight out of the enclosed paddock which is a good play area. Hope to be able to return next year. John Dot and Tilly
