Great cottage for the money ,good location to explore mainland side of Menai Straits including Conwy ,Caernarfon,Snowdon, Llanberis Pass , Llandudno. Not a lot a Bangor though but we knew this when we booked . Only short of a couple of reading lamps. Slate Stairs leading down to the kitchen were quite steep but no problem for us . The smoke alarms were annoying as everytime we cooked breakfast they went off and we had to pull the batteries .

The cottage has been very tastefully and pleasantly refurbished and has everything you need for a self catering break. The cottages has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and we all enjoyed staying there.

I had a lovely time visiting my son who is studying at Bangor. It was great that he could join me for dinner and then walk home. The cottage is very well equipped, especially the kitchen, which I couldn’t fault. The sitting room is very cosy, but not suited for a large family to sit in for hours. The cottage was very clean. If I was being picky, I would say that it’s a shame that there is no garden at the back to sit out on a lovely summers evening, as the front garden is in shade and some people might like WiFi, but I was pleased to have a break from it. I loved being tucked away, yet so close to all the wonderful places to visit. I also feel it is good value for money.
