Perfect for exploring this charming town, watch the fishing boats return with their catch and maybe catch a glimpse of a basking shark.

This holiday apartment offers a modern open-plan living room/kitchen and dining area which comfortably seats 4. The apartment is centrally located with Peel Castle, cathedral, golf course, museum, beach, swimming pool, local supermarket, bank, chemist, pubs and restaurants all a few minutes walk away. Peel still has the feel of a small fishing town and has an active fishing industry, and the world famous Manx kippers are smoked here. When the fishing boats return you will often find seals come to greet them, and if you are lucky you might catch sight of basking sharks. Peel boasts a beautiful quay, an ancient castle, a glorious sandy beach, and a second quieter beach, Fenella, nestling between the castle and Peel Hill. It is also renowned for its amazing sunsets, take a walk around the castle perimeter to view the sunset and views to Scotland and the Mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland. Beach 300 yards. Shop 50 yards, pub and restaurant 250 yards.

All on first floor: Living/dining room/kitchen with wooden floor. 2 bedrooms: 1 double (5ft), 1 twin (zip and link, can be double on request). Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot. High chair. 40" Freesat/Sky TV. Electric hob. Electric oven. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Parking (1 car). Welcome pack. No smoking.

This property is good but expensive. We have stayed in several similar equivalent properties but at a much lower cost.

We loved the apartment but thought peel was a little run down.

Apartment was beautifully equipped, with all mod cons and very clean. However, the location was overlooking a run down street with closed shops, grotty houses at front and a yard full of post vans at the back. The advert advised there may be a little on street noise from traffic at front. This was speeding cars right under window, locals shouting at all hours of the day and night, with lots of choice language, and the seagulls screeched all day and night. My Mum actually recorded them at 4.40 am. Sleep in the double bedroom was virtually impossible. A shame as the apartment in another location would have been perfect. Plus points is that it is central for shops and really near a large sandy beach and harbour. However, unless you are a really deep sleeper, this is definitely not for you!

Peel is a great base. Very helpful to be able to park at the premises.
