Although at first glance, the lodge is inviting and tastefully decorated, I did not think it was four star. The kitchen and bathroom both needed updating and the garden area was uninspiring. In addition the bathroom was closely located next to the twin bedroom which meant individuals were often disturbed during the night. Hoverflies were a nuisance and it was rather too close to the main road which was quite noisy. However it was conveniently located for Glasgow and the Trossachs.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review I am glad you liked the decoration and the location of Peel Lodge. With regards to the bathroom and its location, it was professionally installed to a high standard in 2015, it is well designed and maintained, separated from the twin room by a brick wall. The kitchen was redecorated and all the appliances and equipment were renewed in 2015. With regards to flies, during hot weather when doors and windows are left open, insects will find their way inside the property. I always personally inspect the property before new guests arrive to ensure it is presented to the high standard I would expect and it is highly rated for this aspect.

We had a lovely stay in Peel Lodge and would definitely go back again. One thing I would say is that they should definitely buy a new toilet brush!!!! just a minor point otherwise it was a great place to stay and was close to family who we were able to visit easily.

    Response from:
