This spacious, bright and airy ground floor holiday apartment is located in the heart of the Edwardian seaside resort of Filey. The town centre boasts an eclectic mix of shops, inns, tea rooms and restaurants to suit all tastes. Bempton Cliffs is home to the RSPB Bird Sanctuary where colonies of sea birds can be seen on the 400ft high cliffs. Visit historic homes, halls and castles and Sewerby Hall and Gardens, just 6 miles. Golf, fishing trips, art galleries, cinemas and museums are all available. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

    We had to kick the bottom of the door to enter the place and the stale smell hit you in the face. The place is filthy the utility room hasnt been cleaned in a long time. The settees have holes in them and are filthy, we put throws from the beds over them. They have rugs everywere which are filthy and smell of dog urine. The bed is very uncomfortable and the rails in the wardrobes have rusty metal poles. We had to keep switching the boiler on and off to get hot water. The shower curtain was mouldy. The tv kept loosing its signal . We cut our holiday short and left a day early because we couldnt face sitting in the place when it was raining. I would never go back again.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; We are very surprised by these comments for a number of reasons; firstly, our lady who cleans the holiday home also cleans our house and does a great job. Second - we have been booked up all season and no one else has made any comments as to the so described "filthy" condition of the property, to the contrary we have been commended on how clean and homely it is. Thirdly - I would expect the person experiencing such issues to contact the Owner, we had no contact from them and obviously there are no photos to support such extreme comments. We have an engineer coming to check the heating boiler this week to see if there is a problem and we have checked the other items as referred to and cannot find any problems. Our customer ratings have been excellent and I hope potential customers look at them to get an honest assessment.

    It is the 2nd time I have stayed here and hopefully there will be many more. It is ideally situated for both the shops and the beach. The enclosed garden is great for the dog. It's like a home away from home, there is everything you need and more.
