Greta was lovely and had put some milk in the fridge and a packet of biscuits by the kettle for our arrival. The cottage itself was very nice and quiet. The TV was very small and unfortunately due to the weather not being too great we returned to the cottage quite early each day. The location of the cottage was very isolated with Tesco's at Callington being the nearest shop. There was nowhere to walk to and if you don't like driving through narrow twisty lanes, this isn't the place for you. I quickly realised that driving to Callington got you onto a main road quicker and didn't add too much extra time onto any journey.

Nice break away from it all. My two children were happy to play with the farm dogs that were friendly. There is no Wi-fi available the cottage, the owners are friendly and on call if needed. Cottage had all you needed, there isn’t a washing machine but there is a dishwasher. lots of spiders around, I know it’s in the country but I’m not too keen on sharing a bedroom with them! The main bed is very hard and neither of us had a good nights sleep, and it could all do with ‘good’ clean. Situated well for Plymouth day trips and about 20mins from the nearest beach. Nice pub a walk away down the country lanes.

Had a wonderful week here. Complete and utter get away from it all though not too far to the shops and ideally located for exploring the area. The hosts were so friendly without being intrusive and the biscuits on arrival were very welcome. For me, Pear Tree Cottage was a very welcome respite from the hustle and bustle and would definitely book again.

My son's review -"Really nice dogs and all the animals are cool. I will not forget Bruno and Stanley and Stig." Friendly owners on a working farm with the lovely Pear Tree Cottage. Walks from the doorstep.
