This was our second visit having stayed there in 2017. The owners are very welcoming and the cottage is very well provided for and is very comfortable. Locally there are many places to visit particularly Speech House in the middle of the Forest of Dean. It is a hotel steeped in local history. Excellent meals can be had at Speech House, the Woodman at Parkend and, especially, the Ugly Duckling in Lydney.

Fantastic location. Small but big enough for a family of 4, makes it easy to keep clean. Very quite location you would never know it was a farm.

Furniture in the lounge not very comfortable

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. The comfort of the furniture hasn’t been mentioned previously and all my other reviews have been excellent, the cleaning is done by myself and she always makes sure this is done thoroughly. This guest didn’t contact me during their stay otherwise I would have gone to have a look to see what the problem was.

Lovely friendly hosts without being intrusive. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. The cottage was bijou but adequately equipped and perfect for our short break. Very clean as well. Plenty to see and do in the area and we wouldn't hesitate to book again in the future.

Good location to explore the Forrest of Dean and South Wales. Two excellent take away in the village if you don't want to cook. Larger town for other shopping close by. Quiet location.

A lovely cosy cottage situated on a farm close to the village of Bream. Despite the freezing weather the cottage stayed warm throughout and was great to come back to after our wintery walks in the forest. The quiet location and comfortable bed meant we slept really well. Just be aware that the lane into the village is very narrow in places but we didn't meet much traffic when we walked along it. We would stay there again.
