Had an excellent stay in Park Villa Lodge. Beautiful, quite and peaceful setting. Jackie our host was lovely: approachable and on hand if there were any issues which I'm pleased to say there were not. Not given a 10 overall as it is a bit out of the way up a narrow country road but that in itself is also it's charm. Narrow hedged country roads are not a rarity in Cornwall let's face it. Trelights is a very nice hamlet indeed and is worth the effort. It may not suit everyone however and a car is a definite to get there. Though you could use a taxi to get there from the airport or train station if not driving . Or a bus. We did not use either of the latter so best check out first. It's a great place to retreat to after your day out sightseeng , surfing, walking or whatever you do on holiday. Privacy guaranteed. Tip make sure your sat nav is on the quickest not the shortest setting or you will spend many hours going up and down said country roads rather than the quicker main routes! The accommodation is very tastefully decorated with all that you would need for self catering. Cooker, kettle, crockery, cutlery fridge, dishwasher, small dining table, large television , couch, leather chair and free wi-fi and all to a high tasteful standard. The bathroom has a good sized shower but bear in mind it is a studio flat ( with separate bathroom) as there is no separate bedroom. The bed though is hugh and very comfortable and the property has the air of a 4 or 5 star self catering hotel room. It was also very clean. The propery would not suit someone with restricted mobility due to the metal staircase up to the main door as the flat is above the garage but it has plenty of windows and underfloor heating also with the nice Juliet balcony. It stands in its own private setting. Also note we could not get a phone signal inside the flat. Outside yes but not that strong. One other suggestion would be a small table to allow coffee or tea cups to sit on when sitting on the setee. There are many places to visit in the surrounding area. Port Isaac, Padstow, St Austell, the Eden project and if you like gardens then I highly recommend Pinetum Gardens in St Austell. I would defintely recommend this accommodation especially if you like to get away from it all. It is a country rather than a seaside setting though the seaside is not far away .

High quality fixtures & fittings. Well maintained. Would have been all 10’s if it’d been an easy walk to a pub/restaurant or Port Isaac. Unfair to downrate I know but had to drive for a night out. Wouldn’t stop us booking again thougj

A well appointed and comfortable retreat, perfect for those looking for a break from the hum drum of life. Park Villa is located within a two mile walk of Port Isaac via a footpath across beautiful unspoilt countryside. Direct access to the south west coastal path. Whilst no amenities exist in Trelights, the Longcross Hotel is just a short walk away and provides excellent views of the coast from its terrace and a great selection of well cooked and presented food. Highly recommended.
