Description

Within a tranquil setting, guests will delight in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings while not too far away from rural attractions.

Accessed via a rough track (southern approach) leading to a gravelled drive, Park Lodge is located in a private, tranquil setting surrounded by its own garden of about half an acre, yet the holiday cottage is only five miles from Norwich with its shops, Norman castle, museums and restaurants. Equidistant is the attractive county town of Wymondham. For bird watchers, Ketteringham is mid-way between the RNIB bird sanctuaries of North Norfolk and Minsmere in Suffolk. South Norfolk boasts six long-distance walks and there are also some local walks on adjacent land. The Dinosaur Adventure Park and Banham Zoo are both within easy distance. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.

A superb location and building. Let down a bit by a few flaws like an unclean oven, really bad smell in the fridge and a foisty washing machine. The place basically needs some love, but if your willing to put up with it, its a great place to stay for the history and location .

A beautiful cottage, most amazing countryside on your doorstep, all the home comforts you need. The Piano tearoom nearby was amazing. Would definitely stay here again

A character cottage in a very remote peaceful setting. The highlight of the week was watching the barn owl every day hunting in the field next to the cottage . We had an excellent week and hope to return.

We wanted complete isolation but with every comfort - this cottage was perfect. It's at the end of a dead-end lane so no passers-by at all. Nothing but countryside or garden to see from every window yet it comes fully equipped (including an excellent Wi-Fi signal).

Great quirky cottage in a remote and peaceful area. Ideal location for exploring Norfolk. Lovely private garden, not another property in sight. Plenty of wildlife around to see on walks from the cottage. Cottage is well equipped with eveything you need for your stay. The stairs are very steep and have a very low ceiling which could be a problem for anyone with mobility problems. If you're looking for peace and quiet this is perfect.

Great time - three generations - car essential though to get around. If you are looking for somewhere to have a few days in quiet surroundings - this property is very good. Quiet, but very practical secluded garden, surrounded by fields. The stairs are steep, so would clearly be a bit of an obstacle for the very infirm, but enjoyably quirky for most.
