We had a great week staying in this property. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable house which is tastefully furnished. The back garden is an added bonus. The double bed was hard but we soon got used to it. The house has everything in it that you would need for a holiday, in fact it's a home from home. We had no problem with parking as we parked just over the road. The area in which it is situated has every store you can think of and lots of eating places including a nice Beefeater which we visited on our last night. Christchurch is a lovely little town with a great market on Mondays. We would definitely recommend this property.

There was a terrible smell coming from the downstairs sink every time we emptied the bowl ,when we looked in the cupboard under the sink it was filthy and it sounded like the water was just running on to the floor ,we did put disinfectant down but it didn't help .will not be staying there again

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the waste overflow pipe had been knocked off. This was quite a serious problem and we should have been informed as the issue needed to be solved very quickly. The overflow pipe has now been fixed and we kindly ask that guests do let us know the moment they meet a problem as the chances are it can be solved quickly and easily.

The house was an excellent base for us, and the owner was very helpful and informative. We also appreciated the lovely vases of flowers when we arrived, plus tea/coffee/milk/biscuits. Overall, it was very good value. We liked the sitting room and dining area in particular. The back garden was lovely too - but we didn't get enough dry weather to sit out there much. Shower and bath were good. Nearby shops were handy - and we made use of the big Sainsbury's just up the road too. Immediate area isn't terribly attractive, but that wasn't an issue for us. (We didn't have any problems whatsoever with parking immediately outside - I know other reviewers had mentioned this) Our only (very minor) niggles in the house were with the TV remote control (very tempermental - even buying new batteries didn't help) and the cooker: gas hob - the 'click' lighter function was tricky and we had trouble lighting the gas on a number of occasions; also had trouble with grill function in oven - couldn't quite get it to do what we wanted, despite the instructions.

Whilst the house was very very nice and superbly equipped and spotlessly clean we did not like the area it was in and the condition of the surrounding properties.
