A fantastic cosy cottage ideal for a restful, romantic break, close to the fabulous Northumbrian coast and set in extensive private grounds along the River Tweed.


All on one level, this wonderful cottage makes a great base for couples looking to enjoy a romantic escape in the country.

Ground Floor:
All on the ground floor.
Living/dining room: With wood burner, Freesat TV and DVD player.
Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
Bedroom: With super kingsize bed.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, toilet and heated towel rail.

Electric underfloor heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Doggy extras.

Large garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Estate grounds with woodland (shared with other property on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.

Park End is a charming period gate lodge built in the Victorian era as a second entrance to Milne Graden House. Following the fashion of an ’in and out’ driveway of that time, this property was built from sandstone quarried locally. The interior design is inspired by nature in the soft hues of warm pinks and reds, favoured so much by the Victorians of that period. This beautiful cottage sits at the end of the private drive to Milne Graden House, with the extensive estate grounds bordered by the River Tweed, just 12 miles from the coast at Berwick. This detached cottage is beautifully furnished and decorated with attention to detail to provide a wonderfully restorative and relaxing holiday. The interior design is inspired by nature in the soft hues of warm pinks and reds, favoured so much by the Victorians of that period. The surrounding open garden is backed by woodland and there are mapped walks around the grounds. Dogs are especially welcome with use of the enclosed dog park, where dogs can be happily let off the lead to play whilst you sit in the sun.
Coldstream is just 5 miles away and has an array of local amenities, while the lovely border towns of Kelso and Melrose have a wide range of excellent restaurants, shops, pubs, art and craft galleries and imposing, ancient abbeys. Edinburgh and Newcastle are under an hour by train from Berwick-upon-Tweed. There are historic houses galore, wonderful gardens, way marked walking routes, golf courses, beaches and a fabulous coastline all waiting to be explored. Beach 12 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 5 miles.
