Pagecroft Cottage is situated between the Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.

Nestled quietly away amongst the peaceful hillside and stunning open spaces of the county of Northumberland, Pagecroft Cottage is perfect for a break. This semi-detached, 18th-century cottage offers accommodation in a super location with stunning views over the South Tyne Valley and superb walks right from the doorstep. The cottage retains many of the original features and combines antique furniture and period features with all of the contemporary comforts needed for a fantastic holiday. On the ground floor guests will find a pretty living room with beams, parquet flooring and coal effect electric fire perfect for those romantic evenings in. The dining kitchen is spacious and light with plenty of room to enjoy a home cooked dinner. The traditional Aga cooker provides a focal point and is a real feature of the room. On the first floor the master bedroom is also spacious and well furnished with a double bed and en suite shower room. There is also a twin bedroom and a family bathroom which makes the cottage the perfect base for two couples who enjoy their own space and privacy.
Pagecroft Cottage is the ideal location for guests wanting to enjoy a walking break or a cycling getaway. Just one mile away from the bustling village of Haydon Bridge, guests will find plenty of amenities within walking distance including local shops, pubs, restaurants and a friendly and welcoming community. Walkers and cyclists will benefit from planning a route along one of the many established public footpaths and cycle routes that run through the area including the famous John Martin Trail which is dedicated to the most popular Victorian artist of his time. Great too for families of all ages there is a children’s play area, picnic area and plenty of local heritage to explore. The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre is only a very short drive away for a great day out for guests of all ages. A little further afield but still within a 5-mile distance, guests will be able to visit and explore Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site and many of the Roman forts, Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The historic market town of Hexham is only a 7-mile drive away and boasts many attractions including Hexham Abbey, Hexham Old Gaol, tennis, golf, swimming pool and leisure centre as well as plenty of boutiques, bistros, restaurants and cafés.
A little further afield but still within an easy 30-minute drive, guests will be able to take a trip to Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Gateshead, Kielder Water and Forest Park, Carlisle and the Allen Valley. Traditional yet contemporary, comfortable, cosy and welcoming, guests really will enjoy a fantastic holiday at Pagecroft Cottage at any time of year. Beach 38 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
