The Gilberts (TS7) has glorious country views across the lake towards the coast and is a very spacious detached cottage. Well appointed and beautifully furnished, it is the perfect relaxing retreat. Although mark given for cleanliness is good, the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired. Owner said it is being renewed over winter. If it is I would revisit if not there is no way I would return.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; It is disappointing that the bathroom is the only feature of this review as the visitors made a point of saying what a lovely holiday they had had and how much they had enjoyed the clean and comfortable cottage. They did say they had found the bathroom their least favourite room. I know that some more elderly people find an over bath shower less than convenient, so we are looking at this. However, the bathroom is fully functioning, tiled, with limitless hot water and a glass screen for the shower.

Very quiet, the lady who welcomed us was lovely, unfortunately mid week on the best sunny afternoon/ evening the owners lit a bonfire so we were forced indoors and missed a lovely evening sat on our balcony . The owners husband/ partner was not polite and seemed disinterested. Over all though was a good week
