A well equipped, comfortable cottage in lovely location. Ideal for visiting Bude and surrounding areas. Very dog friendly. We were made to feel very welcome and hope to return.

Our second time back at The Gilberts, and it won’t be our last. A very well equipped cottage, ideal for 2 plus our dog. Ideally located in a quiet location, but with great access to both the countryside and the local beaches, many of which are dog friendly. The usual warm welcome from Sheila, with a pot of tea and stunning lemon drizzle cake. Sheila has a wealth of local knowledge and is able to make some great recommendations on where to go and what to do. She is always on hand when needed but never intrusive. There is a large supermarket a 10 minute drive away for all your essentials and more. The town centre of Bude is 2 miles away and worth a visit for the small local boutique style shops.

Both my husband and I and dog thoroughly enjoyed a very enjoyable 2 weeks in this lovely cottage. The owners were truly welcoming and very helpful and would thoroughly recommend this property. We would definitely go again. The area of Bude is a wonderful location for going around both Cornwall And North Devon.

We were warmly welcomed (despite being late!) by the lovely Sheila, who showed us where to park (spot directly outside of cottage) gave us a quick tour and then left us to settle in. A large slice each of delicious homemade cake had been left in the kitchen for us, along with milk in the fridge to allow us a cup of tea after our long journey, which was very thoughtful & appreciated. The cottage was great, simply but very nicely set up, had everything you needed for a relaxing weekend away and the farm was not too far away for little trips out to some beautiful coastal walks and villages. The farm welcomes dogs and our Jasper found plenty to sniff at and explore during our stay, we also got to meet the gorgeous Georgia (Sheila's pup) who would pop round to say hello every now & again. Our second day there was quite a wet one and we did wish we'd brought wellies so that we could explore a little more of the farmland, but guess we'll have to save that till next time! :)

Very happy stay here. Received very warm welcome. Cottage was very bright and clean with all basics available. Being on a farm is lovely and quiet which was what we were looking for. Daily, welcomed visits from the resident dog, Georgia, that I already miss! Would come back.
