Off the beaten-track and nestled at the base of Skye’s famous Macleod’s Tables, enjoy the expansive views and wildlife from this cosy retreat.

Ground Floor:
Open plan living space: With tiled floor.
Living area: With wood burner, 20" Freeview TV, DVD player and CD player.
Dining area.
Kitchen area: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.
Bathroom: With bath, shower attachment, toilet and tiled floor.
Bedroom 1: With twin beds and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.

First Floor:
Bedroom 2: With double bed.

Partial electric underfloor central heating (ground floor), electric heaters (first floor), gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and logs for wood burner included. Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request.

Large natural garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and BBQ. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring.

Osdale Byre is a detached stone agricultural building reached by an unmade road unsuitable for low cars, that sits in a very special location nestled at the base of Macleod’s Tables. The byre is over 150 years old but was carefully rebuilt in 2006 by the previous owners to create a wonderful holiday retreat in a magnificent setting. The wooden cart doors have been replaced with glass panels that frame the far-reaching views. A great place to sit and enjoy with a coffee or glass of wine. The open plan living areas benefit from underfloor heating and the living room has a characterful antique stove to sit by when the nights draw in. The kitchen is a spacious, social area where you can easily sit eight for dinner. There is also a large boot room where you can leave coats, muddy boots and muddy dogs after a day’s activity.
Osdale Byre is surrounded by sheep and cattle and is visited by wildlife that includes red deer and eagles. If you visit at the right time you can help yourself to the wild raspberries that grow on the plot and sit amongst the colourful fuchsias.
Your only neighbour is Osdale Farmhouse, which is at the other end of the same generous plot and the owners who live nearby and are happy to help with any queries you may have. Otherwise, the cottage sits on its own amongst the stunning landscape, making it a remarkable spot to enjoy the Highlands. However, it is easy to get to civilisation again and the cottage is close to some of Skye’s best restaurants, Dunvegan is readily accessible where you can explore the castle and visit the local shops and cafés. North west Skye offers plenty of outdoor activities including climbing and coasteering. Beach ¾ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
Osdale Byre can be booked together with Osdale Farmhouse (UK5850) to accommodate up to 8 guests.
