What a delightful place to stay in, if you enjoy peace and tranquility this is the place to go, both me and my wife loved this cottage, full of character and very cosy. It's one of the best cottages we have stayed in and the owner so friendly and helpful too. We will certainly not hesitate to go back to this lovely place.

We were so disappointed with this cottage. It was quite dark inside needing lights on most of the day. Four of us shared this 6 berth cottage and we found it a squeeze. The dining table which can seat 6 was impossible to move around even with four and the beds in the twin room squeeked with every move making sleep impossible, and very creeky floor, and the chest of draws was broken. One of our party was too tall to stand up straight in the pool room, which had a particularly low ceiling at one end, and we feel this should have been stated in the property details. The wifi was incredibly slow if and when it worked, and we weren't informed before we got there it is limited. We would not wish to stay here again although we did enjoy the views and all the castles we visited. For the money we paid we expected better.

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our holiday cottage. What a pity that you didn’t bring this to my attention when I called round to check everything was OK for you, and spoke to your husband, who mentioned none of these things. Our property is full of character with the odd creaky floorboard and low ceiling. We are sorry that the Wifi was slow – it is located in a very rural area and we are several miles from the telephone exchange so it isn’t the fastest – but it does work. We are sorry that one of the bedroom drawers was broken and the twin beds squeaky- thank you for bringing them to our attention, and they have now been resolved. Regarding the dining area in the kitchen, no, it isn’t huge, but the size is clearly shown in the photo on the Cottages.com website so you should have been able to see this yourself prior to arrival. As this review is the lowest scoring one we have ever received (in 21 years of letting) we trust that potential guests will view it against the other higher scoring reviews, coupled with the comments in our guest book and the high number of repeat visitors who come to enjoy the peace and the views at Orsedd Wen Farmhouse year after year.
