Located in the seaside resort of Scarborough, this property is just a short stroll away from the beach.

One 2 Sea is a traditional Victorian end-terrace house, with original features and spacious accommodation situated next to the famous Valley Bridge, close to all of Scarborough’s amenities and a short stroll to the beach. The property is located on top of the owners’ hairdressing Salon, with its own very large, tiled entrance hall, ideal for storage of bikes, walking boots, wetsuits etc. Make the most of the water sports down in the bay and the biking along the old railway line up to Whitby. Dalby Forest is less than 10 miles away, which is also great for cycling. The famous Cleveland Way Walk is a few minutes away and runs along the cliff tops where there are some spectacular walks along the rugged coastline. Across the other side of the bridge you have the train station, so the property is easily accessible for those of you without a car. Also across the bridge is the main shopping area, which leads all the way down to the seafront. Along the seafront of Scarborough, there is North and South Bay, both very different but both share a lovely long promenade. For those less energetic you can always travel around on the open-top bus. There is lots to do on Scarborough’s beach, from riding donkeys to surfing. Surfers travel for miles to Scarborough’s South Bay where they have some very challenging waves. Scarborough also boasts the largest outdoor theatre in Europe where during the summer there are some spectacular performances. From Scarborough, there is easy access down the east coast to the other resorts, including Filey, Flamborough and Bridlington. There is also the RSPB nature reserve at Bempton Cliffs where you can find the puffins and gannets in their natural habitat. Why not visit the medieval city of York. In less than an hour, you can be there by train or by car. See the York Minster in all its glory with its stunning stained glass windows, visit one of many museums or just have a leisurely cruise along the river. One 2 Sea is a great base for all ages! Beach 700 yards. Shop and pub 100 yards, restaurant 300 yards.

    excellent location close to the beach and although it is a period house it was lovely and cosy due to the very efficient is central for exploring the north east coast and the wolds.we will be returning early in the new year.

    Had a great stay, the location is brilliant just 7mins walk from train station. The house is lovely, roomy and warm and Dawn the owner was very nice and helpful, we will definitely return.

    Such a perfect get away and beautiful, unique house. Great location as it’s a 10 minute walk from the train station, local shops, and 10 minutes from the beach! Will be back soon

    Can't fault it, great location, great big house with everything you need. Spotlessly clean and cosy place to relax after busy days out. Everything on your doorstep and a great base for places like flamingo land, would definitely stay again, thanks Dawn 👍

    A really lovely property and every need was catered for. Although we were a couple we imagine it would be ideal for families. However, not for very young families as there is rather a lot of stairs. A fairly short walk to most amenities with a pub 50 yards around the corner and a good restaurant in the other direction a similar distance. If self catering, the kitchen provided a good range of equipment. Overall, the accommodation enhanced a really lovely and welcome break.

    A large, Victorian property just along from a parade of shops and take aways. In easy walking distance of both the town centre and the sea front. Arranged over three floors the bedrooms are on the top floor with a small WC which is handy as the main bathroom is down two floors! Great for the calves and step count but I guess hard work for those who struggle with lots of stairs. The kitchen is well equipped if tired. The pint of milk left for guests on arrival is greatly appreciated. There are lots of DVDs and games provided for rainy days which proved very useful on our stay! We were there in September when the weather was cooling off so put the heating on to take the nip off the air in the evenings. We noticed that although the rooms near the boiler heated up nicely, the radiators on the top floor never really heated up properly so the bedrooms stayed much cooler. It did leave us wondered how warm it would be in winter in those high ceiled Victorian bedrooms. (For balance it could just have been that those radiators needed bleeding.) The main bathroom is newly modernised and spotless with a useful corner bath and shower. The water pressure isn’t great in the shower so it maybe takes a bit longer to rinse off the suds but it’s not a problem on holiday when you’re not in a rush! On balance, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the property highly in summer when the down sides aren’t relevant. We probably wouldn’t return but only because we like to try different place every time we visit Scarborough!

    A nice property, and generally well-furnished with everything you could need, but it's in need of a bit of TLC. The kitchen, in particular, is showing its age. It's a good location, with the beach less than 10 minutes walk away (slightly more on the way back, as it's all uphill!), a good chippy just up the road, plus a small Sainsbury's Local shop.

    This is a lovely holiday house, very well equiped and spacious. It is ideally located for all local amenities and an ideal base for lots of other day trips and outings. Would not hesitate to recommend it and will certainly be booking again.
