Enjoy a peaceful holiday from this property, or venture out and explore beautiful Bodmin Moor.

This pet-friendly barn is set in a secluded and peaceful valley on the edge of Bodmin Moor. Converted into a well-equipped holiday cottage, this former barn is situated on the owner’s 19-acre smallholding. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a well-equipped kitchen and an open-plan living space with a woodburner. Outside is a lovely garden area with garden furniture, where you can enjoy barbecues or a morning coffee. There are walks from the door, and guests are free to explore the owner’s land, Bodmin Moor and Colliford Lake which is nearby. The property is surrounded by an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that includes rivers, lakes, rock formations and the highest peaks on the least eroded moorland in Europe. You are ideally placed to visit the many attractions on both coasts of Cornwall, including Padstow, Port Isaac and Tintagel on the north coast, and Fowey, Mevagissey and Looe on the south coast. The cottage is well equipped & clean. Very comfortable bed. The lounge dinner is large and spacious with a log burner. The cottage is on a working farm so dogs on leads as to be expected. A great find

Would have been nice to have a little milk and coffee as we arrived late and local restaurant/pub was no longer serving, nearest Asda supermarket is about 10miles away. We left some. We also left toilet roll as only half a role in the cottage. Needs a good deep clean, windows dirty, cobwebs and dust and dog hair on furniture in living area. Hanging basket with weeds and entrance poor. View onto farm yard. Some decent garden furniture would be good and implements for cleaning and cooking on the BBQ. Dog poo in the garden from owners dog which they did remove. Wifi mostly didn’t work and no phone signal in the house. Need to drive/bike to access any ameneties, nothing within a few miles.

Owner not contactable left us wondering whether holiday was on. We wasted time and money with many phone calls receiving no answer.
