Although the cottage was lovely it was situated in a very rural location with the nearest supermarket a few miles away. Unless you have a car and want to drive a fare way to the beach or other places you were stuck. The cottage needs a lot of TLC. However if this was done and you were happy in a rural environment then it would be lovely.

Cooker and microwave were coming covered in rust One set of bed linen provided for 2 weeks, when requesting more was told to go to the nearest laundrette 6 miles away to wash them. Unable to dry and washing due to the washing line being underneath a huge tree. Unable to use seating area due to it being so unkempt Cottage apparently cleaned, however on arrival found loads of spiders and spider webs everywhere. One night had a spider crawling over one of use during the night, spiders found in beds.

There were 4 adults and a dog for our holiday and we all had plenty of room at the cottage. 1 person struggles with stairs so the downstairs bedroom, shower and bathroom were ideal. Garden was lovely and secure for our dog. Well equipped kitchen with 2 large fridges and dishwasher. Bude, Tintagel, Boscastle nearby. About an hour and half to Mount St Michael. The only thing that let it down was cobwebs and no shops or pubs within walking distance really. There was a plumbing issue during our stay and the owner was round within the hour to fix it, customer service amazing.

Overall pretty good, minor niggles, no mirrors for shaving or shaver plug, hot tap in downstairs bathroom noisy. The wet room although handy being on ground floor was not really fit for the older generation, nowhere to put clothing & stone step slippery when wet. Being 7 of use not enough comfy seating in lounge to be together.

I was a bit apprehensive upon arriving at the Old Post Office Cottage because of the negative reviews I read beforehand but we found the cottage to be clean, well furnished and equipped and very cosy. There was ample space for 4 adults and 4 children plus our small dog. We did have to drive to different places every day but we had checked the location of the cottage on the map and it wasn't a problem. Would definitely go back again
