An excellent cottage in a beautiful area of the country with both country and coastal drives and walks. The accommodation is spacious and of modern design and immaculately clean. The property is adjacent to woodland owned by the property. This is very convenient for dog owners. The area has many amenities including the Aviation Museum in Dumfries and the Gem Rock Museum at Creetown. There are a wide range of lovely cafes and restaurants in the region welcoming visitors.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for one week. Very impressed with the cottage and the surroundings. Spotless inside. Extras like the teabags, biscuits, even shower gel, hand cream, toilet rolls, kitchen towels, supplied on arrival were so helpful and appreciated. Great too to have the wood burner for cooler evenings. Saw Nuthatch and Woodpecker close up in the garden too.

Ideal location for exploring the local area and good walks for both us and our dog. Mild enough for us to avoid the vagaries of the weather and the snow further north! Shame we were too early for the Bluebells. I'm sure the wood will look quite stunning when they all bloom.

Very nice cosy cottage. Lovely woodland walk, which our dog loved. A lot of thought has gone into what guests might need, and nothing is lacking. Very clean, and log burner very welcome on the cold evenings.
