Star gazers with love this traditional stone cottage in Dark Sky area, stunning views of Waterstein Head and Moonen Bay.

This stone croft cottage overlooks Loch Pooltiel in the NW of the beautiful Isle of Skye, surrounded by the ancient and wild landscape it is known for. Views from its elevated position are stunning. South are Waterstein Head and Moonen Bay; north are Dunvegan Head and Outer Hebrides. Enjoy the utter peace and tranquillity. Being in a Dark Sky area, the night skies are truly remarkable - possibly witness the Aurora Borealis! Spot fossilised dinosaur footprints on the beaches or see golden eagles nesting on Waterstein Cliffs. Dine in the Three Chimneys, Red Roof Café or Seafood Restaurant at Stein. Visit Dunvegan Castle, the Coral Beach, Neist Point Lighthouse. Cycling, kayaking and sea trips available. Shop 2 miles.

Excellent property, with local character but modern finish. Fantastic localisation, well recommended. The only remark would be that instead of bath only it would be nice to have a shower. But that's only if you want to be picky. Overall impression and experience very good. Would come back there in the future.

The cottage is lovely, very spacious, but cosy too. We had some wild weather during our stay, but staying in was a pleasure too so we weren't too disappointed by the wind and horizontal rain. We were lucky enough to have a couple of clear nights, including the meteor shower which was breath taking! Local shop in Glendale was really well stocked and the staff were delightful.. Owner was charming when we called for key box code, great start to the holiday compared to previous experience. We only marked down the value for money slightly as we normally don't holiday in the peak season and found the price high by comparison to off season, but that was our choice. Cottage was lovely and clean and we highly recommend it.

We had an excellent time amongst the seals, dolphins and golden eagles!
