These two delightful and spacious holiday apartments have lovely views overlooking Windermere to the fells beyond. Formerly part of a Victorian gentleman’s residence they are situated in a prime residential area known as Heathwaite, which is on the edge of Windermere village. Furnished and fitted in a contemporary style, to a very good standard, the properties offer all the comforts of home. Each has its own private entrance up a short flight of slate steps. The location is superb, 10 minutes walk down to Windermere centre and 20 minutes walk to the lake at Bowness where you can enjoy a boat trip. Take one of the many country walks from the doorstep or explore central Lakeland by car. Shop 300 yards, pubs and restaurants 1/2 mile.

    This cottage was well equipped. Furniture was of a good standard. It was a cheap break. The washer boiled everything at 30 degrees. Spoiling £250 of cycling gear.leak underneath sink. Note left stating that it had to be hovered and cleaned. ( I would of anyway) I had to empty hover and unblock the hover, it was completely blocked. Kitchen work surfaces were dirty in places Standard of cleaning was not good..

    Response on behalf of the Owner; I'm pleased you've found our apartment well equipped. I'm sorry to hear about your washing. I have personally checked the washing machine this week 12th Nov in case the thermostat was faulty. I chose a synthetic cycle cold-40 degrees and set the temp at 30 and had no problems with the wash. We would strongly recommend following the manufacturers guidelines which are found in the house book. I don't know where the note has come from, this has never happened before, I have informed our management team of this and the cleaning problems you have experienced and they are working that through - this is not the usual high standard we like to offer our guests.

    Great residential getaway. Great space, light and view. Nice well tended garden. Lovely comfy beds, bedding and crockery. Families with young children: Flooring in kitchen a bit slippy for infants and bath is lovely, but access to the bath is from the end of the bath only, so difficult to get little ones washed if they won't stay put unless you jump in yourself! Only general -ve was washer/dryer: great to have one, but made a mess of some of our clothes even on 4 setting someone had reccomended: washing temps vary 40-60 degrees or 40-95 degrees on hot. Only 3 settings for drying temp and so would avoid washing anything there if went back unless was emergency and would bring full weeks set of clothes
