Visit Keilder Water, Hadrians Wall, the Northumberland Coast and the Lake District. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Cosy, clean, well presented and well equipped cottage. Even provided shampoo and conditioner! Dog friendly. Dogs enjoyed swimming in the Wear river nearby

A charming cottage and setting - rural but within easy reach of Durham and other North East towns and cities. the owners were friendly and helpful and their restaurant, less than 5 minutes stroll away, provided good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed a long day out visiting various sites on Hadrian's wall and also followed in the footsteps of Bede and saw a fine collection of Saxon churches in the area. The only downside was the dining area, attractively created from old stables but a little cramped for adults.

Lovely cosy cottage - spotlessly clean - with wonderful wildlife to enjoy in the garden. A real haven of peace and tranquility. Owners had very kindly left us some lovely treats which were much appreciated.

Very nice laid out property. The sofas were a little low but comfortable. The beds were excellent to the fact we tried to find the make of the mattresses as we need a new one at home. The cottage had everything in it you needed just a shame local shops aren't a bit closer but it didn't put us off. The small little gifts that were left by the owner was fabulous.
