Carefully restored, it combines original features with exposed stonework and pine floors, creating a spacious comfortable home in which to relax. A pretty stream with waterfalls runs through the village together with an ancient bridge. The bustling market town of Hawes is a 10-minute walk where you will find the Dales Centre Museum and Creamery, home to Wallace and Gromit’s favourite cheese. Nearby Semerwater, which is a large natural lake, provides a wealth of water activities such as swimming, fishing and sailing. There is a varied selection of shops, pubs and restaurants in Hawes. Shop 1 mile, pub 10 minutes’ walk.

    The house was very warm and spacious however the property was not ready on time which isn’t the property’s fault as the cleaners were still there but upon arival the house was far from clean. Dirty fridge, microwave, toilets, sink, curtains un hung bedding not the best which again is not the hoise fault. Great location though, the sofas were stained and dirty which was not nice

    Interesting property in amazing location could do with some TLC to improve comfort and feeling of cleanliness (I.e. replace carpet in bathroom with viny) and some minor details like more information (bin day for example). Thoroughly enjoyed our week but these minor improvements would guarantee a return visit.

    The Old Hall is hardly a cottage, built in 1695, it is a fascinating, roomy house which we loved.

    Well equipped & spacious property. Really appreciated the heating being left on at no extra cost even though it was June. The property was good value, bit dusty & cobwebby in areas but main areas clean & tidy. We felt the price reflected this. Felt comfortable taking our large hairy dog.

    perfect for a family getaway. Grandchildren loved the space and being able to run around. Some update required in bathrooms ie: taps not working and showers not vey hot but what can you expect in listed building. bedrooms very clean and comfortable, excellently equipped kitchen. Absolutely loved it overall. Would definitely recommend it for a group of people, then its very good value for money. Very warm and comfortable.
