The old fire station was a lovely place to stay- the cottage has been renovated to a high standard. The velux windows on the mezzanine level were my favourite part- great to lie in the huge bed and look out at the loch. The owner was very helpful in explaining how things worked in the cottage at the start of the stay and the 'welcome pack' of a bottle of wine was very welcome. it was a great base to explore the north of the island and we would thoroughly recommend the cottage.

Very comfortable stay and we were made to feel welcome from our first contact with Syd before we arrived. Lovely aspect; gorgeous sun in the afternoon. Great big bed and spacious bedroom. Stairs were rather narrow so we packed cases downstairs. Excellent holiday, thank you.

Excellent place to stay. Nice and cosy with a great wood burning fire. Bit disappointed that the BBQ was more like an old chimnea, we'd brought a few things to BBQ but had to cook them on the oven instead. Minor problem though. A fishing rod and reel or two would be a good addition, given there's a tackle shop down the road it might give a bit to that business. Just a thought. All in all The Old Fire Station is an excellent place for a chilled out break and a perfect base for discovering the north of Skye.
