The house is spacious and the views are stunning. Owners are really lovely and very accommodating. However only one person can use any bathroom at a time due to poor plumbing and water pressure. There is a main road and bus stop right outside the house, noisy and not ideal with small children. The decor is dated and the place could do with some TLC. We had a nice enough time but we will not be going back.

Oakfield House is a good place for a large family gathering with plenty of space for all the different age groups, the pool table was great and the large dining area meant we could enjoy a relaxed meal and then a game of cards. The canal which is easily accessed is a lovely walk into Stroud

It was the perfect place for our weekend away. Great spacious rooms so we could entertain ourselves whatever the weather. We also did a little exploring the surrounding area - there was a nice walk uphill for those more energetic members of the party and then a lovely walk along the canal to a great brunch place on Sunday.

This large Georgian property suited the needs of our walking group. Even though it was beside the main road and a bus stop the views over the back garden to the hills were lovely. We were there over a very very cold snowy weekend in February 2018 and some areas in the house got cold. There were a number of portable fan heaters around the property which told their own story. Room number 5 had a large radiator which wasn't connected to the heating system. We had to contact the owner, who lives next door, but were surprised when he came into the property by a connecting door, into the kitchen, without knocking.

Lovely large property suitable for a large group, we had 12 adults and 2 children, and could have fitted more. Each bedroom had an en suite toilet and wash basin, the only downside were the showers were quite temperamental, although there was the option of a bath instead. Great location for walks around the Cotswolds and into Stroud. We enjoyed the addition of the pool table. Would definitely stay here again, great value for money.

We had a brilliant 30th birthday celebration here, everyone was very comfortable. Plenty of space. My only minor issue was for such a massive house the kitchen is quite small but we managed! Beautiful views out the back, shops, walks, train station and a good pub walking distance.
