Lovely warm welcoming hosts. Nice touch with the bread, butter and milk awaiting our arrival! Comfortable beds and plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge - esp like the 1.5 seater chair in the corner. No wifi but I took my own so that wasn't an issue - good phone and wifi reception. Would love to visit again.

Yes it was a bit difficult to find but it was in the sticks. It was lovely with a large garden, trees and a pond with wild birds. Great.

What a gem this cottage is..!! My wife, son (13yrs) and I stayed for a week in August 2017 and had a wonderful time. The ground level kitchen and bathroom are a good size and fitted out well. The upstairs living/dining room, bedroom and mezzanine sleeping area are generously sized with the added bonus of an upstairs toilet and sink. There's books, games, TV/DVD and docking station to keep you entertained should the weather disappoint. Outside the garden and grounds are stunning! Our son loved it in the pool and watching the fish in the pond. There's loads of space to relax and enjoy the peaceful English countryside. With a sauna, indoor and outdoor showers and bathroom, the owners really have thought of everything. It's a 10 minute stroll into Bredgar which has a quaint little farm shop, cafe and post office. We had a lovely afternoon tea there one day. The village pub, Sun Inn, is very welcoming and serves good food and real ales which can be consumed in the bar, restaurant or beer garden. All of Kent's attractions are within an hour's drive. We will not hesitate to book this cottage should we visit the southeast area again.

The cottage was very clean. But we found the owner very rude. I arrived, she was talking to a friend and continued to do so for a long time. Long enough to be utterly rude. Secondly, the petrol fumes from the garage came through to the kitchen for the whole time of our stay. The information on the web about the kitchen should indicate that the kitchen has no windows and is right next to a working garage. The family is into vintage cars. Finally the cottage is on the family land which is fine but we don't expect an incalcitrant son to be rude to us.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: I am sorry that your experience wasn’t up to your expectations. Had you telephoned in advance as requested I would have had an idea of your arrival time and a better indication as to whom you were. I did acknowledge you and apologised. When I showed you around there were definitely no fumes in any part of the property. The internal door within the kitchen is sealed. The side door adjacent to the kitchen allows access for me to my freezer, tumble dryer, other domestic items and my car. This is a normal household garage, it is not in any way a work garage. Your comment regarding my son seems a little confusing, as you had no contact with him.
