Description

Located in a tranquil holiday park close to both Looe and Polperro where you will find a great selection of superb sandy beaches.

This detached holiday lodge enjoys a quiet location on a peaceful holiday park, between the quaint fishing villages of Looe and Polperro, on the beautiful south Cornish coast. With woodland and river walks into Looe, this really is an ideal spot in which to unwind. The fishing port of Looe has superb sandy beaches. Enjoy the local renowned fish market, which sells fresh fish straight off the boats in the harbour. Deep sea fishing, pleasure trips and other water sports can all be enjoyed locally. Walk along the Cornwall coastal path in the opposite direction to Polperro, a village steeped in the history of fishing and smuggling, stroll the narrow lanes and enjoy the local pubs, shops and galleries. The sheltered bays of Talland and Lantic offer excellent swimming and bathing against the backdrop of the dramatic Cornish coastline. Visit the town of Fowey, which can be reached by the regular ferry across the Fowey River. The Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are within half an hour’s drive. Golf, horse riding, sailing, sea fishing and kayaking are all available close by. Shop 0.5 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

The lodge was wonderful and perfectly stocked with cooking utensils. Our only very small issues were outside the lodge was covered in webs that had obviously been there for a long time. It wouldn’t take long to clear them away. Inside, 3 windows had lost their seal so were covered in condensation. The main oven didn’t work. There is no shelf in the showers to place shower gels etc. I have a bad back so constantly bending was an issue. Lastly, blackout curtains would be better as the thin ones let all the light in. These are very minor issues. The lodge was wonderful and we loved our stay. I only mention the above as ideas for improvement only.

We had the perfect holiday with our Son and Grandchildren, it was a comfort from home. The children loved it also. It was the perfect base for visiting local areas and attractions. We walked into Looe. feedback would be to map out all local walks. Stinging nettles under the lodge need getting rid of and a clearer marker/boundary line of the lawn. We absolutely loved our stay here and will return.

a very comfortable, very clean and warm log cabin. Spacious living room and kitchen very well equipped. Site was so quiet, all we could hear was birdsong. 5 mins drive to Looe which is a very nice harbour town. Half hour to Eden Project and 50 mins to Heligan.
