Number Ten is an elegant, semi-detached town house set in the centre of the popular seaside town of Ryde, the largest town on the Isle of Wight, which is often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Island’, as it is easily reachable by car and passenger ferry, train, or hovercraft from the mainland. The property is likely to prove popular with cyclists as it offers a spacious and gated courtyard with plenty of storage for bicycles. With its modern styled interior and contemporary design, this property can accommodate up to eight guests in total across its four bedrooms, which comprise of two kingsize bedrooms, a twin room and a bunk room. The spacious twin bedroom on the top floor offers a panoramic view of the Solent to Portsmouth, with the landmark Spinnaker Tower forming an impressive backdrop to a busy shipping channel, where you can watch a range of freight, passenger and military vessels making their way across the water. Beautifully furnished and well-equipped, this holiday home makes a great base, being moments from Ryde’s high street with its host of shops, bars, restaurants and cafés, as well as its promenade and excellent beach. At low tide the expansive sandy beach stretches out a considerable distance making it a popular place for swimming and paddling in the shallow water in warmer weather, as well as sports and outdoor activities both on and off the beach.

Along the promenade, you will find tennis courts, ten pin bowling, a fun fair, canoeing lake and a swimming pool, providing plenty to do locally. You can also enjoy the scenic coastal walks, go crabbing, sailing, fishing, horse riding, golf or even go-karting, all of which are easily accessible from the property. There are numerous attractions across the island to discover for all ages, including the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, The Needles, with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay. Make sure you take time to visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, and Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK. Also worth a visit are Ventnor Botanic Garden, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, along with the further beaches of Sandown and Shanklin. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 176 yards.
