The cottage is located next to a departmental road, which is beside the Payage - i.e. motorway towards Marseille - therefore, very busy and quite noisey. Road noise is heard inside the property, not so much by the pool area. The cottage itself was clean, spacious and had air conditioning which was just what was needed, especially at night. It wasnt the best equipped place. For the English travelling there, there is no kettle, airer or cheese grater (not always important, but worth knowing about) there is somewhere outside to dry clothes but this was something that was missed by some members of the party. It is well placed for exploring the South of France, you are about 1 hour 15 mins from the coast down the toll road, about 2 hours without it. There are vineyard after vineyard in the area and the cottage itself is owned by the fruit and veg farm store next door to the property. The welcome pack of tomatoes, apricots and nectarines, was simply stunning. There is a lovely bakery in the little town about a 8-10 min drive or a 30 min walk away. But beware, they sell out early! The property has little in the way of soft furnishings and the flooring is tiled throughout. The doors are of an old wood with glass inserts which isnt particularly well fitted, the noise within the property echoes throughout and the doors slam and rattle without much force. Just something to be aware of. Overall, a nice stay. I dont think we would return but we did enjoy our stay. The pool was lovely, although it does need cleaning daily due to the flies that end up in it, but the net is there for your use. Thats if it bothers you like it does me!
