Initially the cottage looked very nice but disappointingly it didn't really meet our expectatations. The rooms are comfortable but the property is tired and in need of some tlc. We had a 5 month old baby with us and had to buy a kettle as the one in the cottage was badly in need of descaling and left bits in the babies bottle which we thought wasn't nice. There was also a problem with ants and we didn't feel like we wanted to eat in the kitchen. There were also ants in the downstairs bedroom . We didn't cook but I did look in the oven and it was very appealing. No welcome pack but that wasn't an issue although soap at the bathroom sink would have been welcomed. I found the lack of toilet upstairs a bit of a pain but we did know about this beforehand. Quite near a well used road so that could be an issue for some.

DVD player broken, £15 purchase necessary, radiators upstairs, cold, bleed perhaps, heating noises unusual, bit like water gurgling and swishing around. Bigger mugs for tea ! Feels like established 10 plus years, minor effort to bring back to date. Overall good
