With its generously sized bedrooms, two living rooms, orangerie overlooking the garden, kitchen with dining area, contemporary family bathroom, ample parking, Sky and Freeview TVs and wi-fi, it is the perfect home from home for families wanting to experience all that the North of England has to offer, especially for those who would like to sample the many attractions of this popular tourist destination without being in the thick of it. Parking is not an issue as you can leave your car at the property and either walk into the centre or take a bus or taxi.

Children will love the fact that Blackpool Zoo, Stanley Park and the Model Village are all within easy walking distance. There are several good family pubs and fast food outlets nearby and there is a retail park approximately 2 miles away with a large supermarket. The centre of Blackpool whose many attractions include the famous Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach, Sea Life Centre, Madame Tussauds Waxworks, piers and of course the beach itself is just 1 mile away. The annual illuminations which run from the beginning of September to mid-November and stretch for over 6 miles attract millions of visitors each year.

Whilst Blackpool is probably the most well-known resort on the Fylde coast there are others that are also worth visiting, such as the more sedate Thornton Cleveleys, the traditional Victorian seaside town of Southport and of course the cosmopolitan Lytham St Anne’s, which apart from being famous for its golf courses has lots of lovely shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Other places of interest within easy driving distance include Fleetwood’s Freeport Outlet, 20 minutes away, Preston 40 minutes away, or a little further Lancaster. Should you tire of the coast and want a greener landscape, Lancashire’s beautiful Ribble Valley, Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are all accessible by car in approximately 1 hour. If you wish to leave the car behind, Blackpool has a train station which operates services into Preston, Liverpool, Manchester to name just a few.

    The location was fabulous. However that is the only positive thing I have to say about our holiday. The house was disgusting! Dirt, dust, other peoples mess left behind. We found mouldy cake behind the drawers. Hair balls in the hallway. The owner didnt seem bothered about our complaints, and he made no attempt to help us out when we asked for new bedding, a vacuum cleaner or for him to send his “cleaning team” back to do another clean. He ignored my calls and stopped responding to my text messages. We had 4 kids with us aged between 1 and 5. Which made the dirt more of an issue as the youngest was crawling and we couldnt even hoover the floor. Overall very disappointed with the owner and cleanliness of this property. We spent almost 2 hours cleaning he house before we could allow the kids to play in the house.

    A very spacious house and plenty of room in the driveway for our 2 cars and then some. 7 of us stayed there for a week and weren't under each other's feet at all, considering we spent quite a bit of time indoors as the weather was so bad! Plenty of towels provided, constant hot water, wifi and sky tv - a big kitchen with plenty of room to prepare meals. The owner, Steve, is just a phone call away and very hands-on if the need arises. If there is one negative (and there is only one I can think of) it's that the oven could be bigger. The hob is wide with 5 rings, but the oven is too small to cater for 8 people in one sitting.

    Loved my time at North Dene. I loved the location for myself and partner was a bit further away from main activities than i thought for kids but once i sorted out 3 day bus pass it was fine. Not many local shops or pubs within walking distance but one big shop at aldi or sainsbury and your sorted. Would not put me off staying again

    Great spacious house offering luxury, comfort and more than just a home from home. A little bit out of the town centre, but offers relaxing accommodation with three sizeable rooms plus conservatory downstairs and four spacious bathrooms plus three toilets in total.

    As always this house is fantastic for our family, a home from home. Fantastic and safe back garden. Ideal location and on a town centre bus route. The owner can never do enough to help. Recommend 100%. Can't wait for our next visit.
