Clean well-equipped kitchen but only one tea towel an oversight perhaps, useful welcome pack, nice touches were the fruit and cake provided for our arrival. The cottage was a home from home and entirely suitable for exploring the local area and walks.

North Bank is a lovely little cottage and a really restful location overall. The cottage has very good facilities for both human and K9 guests. In fact it has a few more since we stayed, as we forgot to pick up our kitchen utensils as we left. It was so very pleasant arriving to find music softly playing and the arrival gifts of fruit, cake and sweets. The only two negatives are: Parking: The road is very narrow and you cannot park outside the cottage. However once you understand the etiquette for the street we had no problems finding a space within 100m. Pond: Whilst the garden is a beautiful little cottage garden style area the small pond at the bottom of the garden is a magnet for any dog and is filthy dirty. The ground of the path in front of it is quite soft and unstable so a bit of a hazard. Not sure what benefit it is but I wouldn’t let children or animals near it.

Cottage was lovely, found a lovely welcome package on arrival. The cottage was very comfortable and situated very well in somerset-bath, whilst a bit of a drive, is definitely worth going to. The only downside was parking, we have quite a large car and often had to park at the bottom of the hill (only a 2 minute walk away). Not something to put you off going, but to be aware of if you're expecting guaranteed parking near to the cottage. All in all a fantastic cottage and will be making a return visit should be we visiting Somerset again.

There were 2 of us and our dog, Bess. We were there over Christmas for 4 nights and we had the best stay. The cottage was perfect. It was beautifully decorated with a Christmas tree and lots of twinkly lights and candles along with a very generous Christmas welcome pack which was lovely and very much appreciated. The cottage was so well equipped, the best equipped place we had been to. So much attention to detail. We took lots of basic kitchen stuff with us and didn't need any of it! There was milk in the fridge, cooking oil, tea bags, coffee, washing up liquid, washing powder for the washing machine, cling film, food bags, foil and lots of equipment for our dog, bowls, blankets, a lead, poo bags etc etc. Cooking equipment wise there were lots of baking dishes, saucepans, sieves etc. It was spotlessly clean which as it is a dog friendly cottage as well, was really good. There were lots of maps, including OS maps for walking and books about the area etc which were really useful. There was also a good range of books and games and the wi-fi was very reliable. Along with the great walking from just outside the front door, it would be easy to while away a week here. It was good to have an unlimited wood supply for the woodburner as many cottages restrict the wood they let you have which is not very helpful. As it was Christmas, the Wookey Hole Inn and the hotel were closed for most of the time we were there but we did visit the caves before we left which were good but the accompanying attractions were very much a step back in time! We walked into Wells on Christmas Eve, which was about an hour and found the friendliest pub we have ever been in, Just Ales. Bess was allowed off of the lead in there which was a real treat! We walked to the Hunters Lodge Inn at Priddy on Christmas Day which was very basic but with a free bar and some very friendly locals! We don't like going anywhere twice and we are very difficult to please but we would seriously consider staying in this cottage again as it was so lovely and would be nice to explore the surrounding area at a different time of year. We can see that the conservatory would be a real bonus when it was a bit warmer.

We had a delightful long weekend, with our dog, in this beautifully-appointed terraced cottage, and were amazed by the thought that had been put into making everything easy - there were flowers, fruit, and biscuits on the table for us, and milk in the fridge, lots of pans and cooking equipment, and even poo-bags for the dog! The house has a lovely conservatory with sliding doors that you can push right back to open it up to the little sloping garden. Parking is tricky in the narrow lane (best to have a small car!) but the neighbours were really helpful about where was good to park. The location is just below the edge of the Mendips, with stunning walks and views - don't miss Ebbor Gorge, though you need stout shoes and some agility to manage it. Wells and Glastonbury lie just to the south, and magnificent Cheddar Gorge a bit to the west. I would love to come again.
