No.2 and No.4 (ref UK2529) at South Cliff apartments are perfectly situated to make the most of what Scarborough has to offer. They have been renovated to a good standard and with a contemporary feel. A short stroll and you are in the town centre, the beach or take a leisurely walk along the cliff tops. The more energetic amongst you can walk part of the Cleveland Way as this passes along Scarborough seafront to its final destination in Filey. Scarborough also has some wonderful countryside and market towns within a short drive.The North York Moors National Park is just north of Scarborough heading towards Whitby, a very popular fishing town. The elegant South Bay has some wonderful old Victorian houses which were built when The Spa was at its peak with a reputation for a cure of minor ailments. The Spa is now an entertainment venue with bands and international acts throughout the year. As well as The Spa there’s the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home to most of Alan Ayckbourn’s world premiere plays. There’s also the open air theatre, one of the largest in Europe where fantastic bands and top class acts perform throughout the summer. From the apartments you can walk down to the beach through the beautiful Italian Gardens or take the cliff tram. Scarborough has two bays and the walk along the seafront from South Bay to North Bay is very popular as it’s nice and flat, ideal for that early evening stroll. The castle stands above the Marine Drive separating the two bays. A 12th century castle that has views over the bays and town. The town has several attractions such as the Sealife Centre, Peasholm Park and the exciting Alpamare UK, which is a waterpark with its wave machine and twisting slides. The seaside resorts of Filey, Flamborough Head and Bridlington are just a short drive and the medieval city of York is just an hour away by car, or catch the train direct from Scarborough.
