Absolutely lovely property, ideal for us 2 families and 2 dogs. We are outdoor style families so we were basically out all day everyday. We had a fantastic week and and the kids and dogs were in lake Windermere everyday. Having 3 toilets was a luxury and all the facilities was a bonus, especially the washer and dryer. Even on days when we had some rain there is still loads to do, Ambleside has 3 cinemas all linked. Only a short walk up the road, there's plenty of shops, bars, restaurants etc. The YHA is worth a visit, 2 mins on the door step.

The location of Newrigg is perfectly located in a beautiful spot. This is the second time we’ve come to waterhead. Unfortunately although Newrigg was comfortable we were very disappointed with the level of cleanliness. we did report this to the owners and they were really apologetic and responsive.

Sadley property had storm damage(which we were informed off) so had scaffolding up which was a problem to access and looks. Need to be fit as loads of stairs, luckily bedroom on lower floor helped, great for a family gathering, right on bus route so never used car.
