Excellent value for money for the time of year, would need more 'tidying up' for me to pay summer prices. Saying that clean and comfortable as a base. Trains were a novelty which you didn't really notice after a while. It does depend on the level of noise you are used too. We had a great holiday with so much to do we couldn't fit it all in.

The cottage was ideally placed for what we had planned for our week in Northumberland. We were halfway between Alnwick and Lindisfarne. We also visited Bamburgh, Seahouses, Embleton and Craster. Belford was just across the A1 and had some good pubs with excellent food and local beers. Sunnyhills Farm Shop had an excellent supply of food to supplement our stay. There wasn't an issue crossing the A1 into Belford. Although the cottage was near the railway crossing, the noise from trains was NOT excessive. A cracking base and one that hopefully we will use again.

unfortunately there was an unpleasant smell in the kitchen which we found to be stagnant black water in the washer. This was not until halfway through the holiday. The central heating was extremely noisy and not all the radiators worked properly. The back garden was not as shown in your pictures the trees were overgrown we could not see the fields behind the cottage not a place I would choose to sit out in.
