Imaginatively formed within a charming group of barns and set in superb landscaped shared gardens, an indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna have been created in a separate building, and a further barn offers facilities for table tennis, pool table, ‘fun’ netball and badminton. A spacious play area within a walled garden is equipped with swings, sand pit, adventure playground, large lawned area with raised decking, complete with garden furniture and views over the surrounding countryside. The gardens are a riot of colour, with flower beds, tubs, hanging baskets and courtyards and paved terraces. There is also a stocked fishing lake (rods not supplied) and children are welcome to help feed the animals; goats, ponies, kune kune pigs, sheep, lambs and guinea pigs. The cottages themselves have been meticulously converted. All are tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, and comprehensively equipped. The properties have their own patios with furniture (Hyssop and Lovage Cottages have their own enclosed lawned garden). They are ideal for holidays at any time of the year – all properties have wood burners and are heated throughout. This region is the perfect area to visit at anytime of year and is especially beautiful in the quieter off-season months. The village of Kingswear itself is set on the Dart estuary opposite Dartmouth – which can be reached via ferry.

Lovely setting. Granddaughter loved the pool and farm animals and the whole family enjoyed the games room. There was plenty of kitchen equipment for cooking meals for the whole family. Although there were other holiday makers in the other cottages we hardly noticed them and it often seemed as if we had the place to ourselves. The owners were very helpful and the welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and scones with jam and cream was well received. Location was quiet and peaceful but within a few miles of shops and facilities and the picturesque towns of Dartmouth and Brixham. Plenty of things to do for all generations within easy reach.

Apart from Meadowsweet Cottage itself being comfortable and well equipped, Nethway Farm offers the following facilities in close proximity to each cottage: a playground and indoor play area suitable for the under 7s; a small, heated indoor swimming pool; different animals to visit and feed and a games barn. The surroundings were peaceful, the hosts friendly and the neighbouring families almost imperceptible.

Nethway Farm is the perfect location for a family holiday. There is so much to do on site for little ones through to teenagers, from the swimming pool to the play barn. The owners are on site, but not intrusive. They are extremely friendly and helpful in offering advice for places to visit from restaurants to beaches. Feeding time on the farm was lots of fun for the children, and the fresh eggs you can collect were delicious. You truly feel they go the extra mile, from cream tea on arrival to the freshly cut flowers in the cottage. Meadowsweet and Nethway farm is a fairly unique offering with plenty to do if you want to stay on the farm itself or visit (very) nearby Dartmouth. We highly recommend it.

Meadowsweet was our home for the week. It was a lovely clean well equipped cottage. Fresh flowers and a plate of delicious homemade scones waiting for us on arrival. As others have said, it definitely felt like home. The owners were very friendly and welcoming, and very helpful and informative regarding the local area. The farm itself is set in a beautiful location and was so peaceful and tranquil. It was also perfect for the children, with the different play areas and pool. And of course not forgetting the animals, which we eagerly greeted every morning and evening. All three generations of us had a fabulous time and we were all sad to leave! If you’re thinking of booking, then I can highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Loved the cottage for a weekend away! We have fresh scones and Jan on arrival, tea bags, coffee sachets and even a pint of milk! The beds were ok to sleep on and there was more than enough room for the 6 of the 6 of us! We all really enjoyed our stay here, was lovely and warm with a lovely fire and the owners were very nice. Ferry wasn't far away to go over to dartmouth. Local amenities around 10 minutes drive away. If it was warmer and not raining, We would have loved to use the heated pool and sauna! There is a lovely lake near by also. We would all stay again for sure!
