Up to two small well behaved pets welcome free of charge.

Imaginatively formed within a charming group of barns and set in superb landscaped shared gardens, an indoor heated swimming pool and a sauna have been created in a separate building, and a further barn offers facilities for table tennis, pool table, ‘fun’ netball and badminton. A spacious play area within a walled garden is equipped with swings, sand pit, adventure playground, large lawned area with raised decking, complete with garden furniture and views over the surrounding countryside. The gardens are a riot of colour, with flower beds, tubs, hanging baskets and courtyards and paved terraces. There is also a stocked fishing lake (rods not supplied) and children are welcome to help feed the animals; goats, ponies, kune kune pigs, sheep, lambs and guinea pigs. The cottages themselves have been meticulously converted. All are tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, and comprehensively equipped. The properties have their own patios with furniture (Hyssop and Lovage Cottages have their own enclosed lawned garden). They are ideal for holidays at any time of the year – all properties have wood burners and are heated throughout. This region is the perfect area to visit at anytime of year and is especially beautiful in the quieter off-season months. The village of Kingswear itself is set on the Dart estuary opposite Dartmouth – which can be reached via ferry.

A lovely cottage within a lovely farm setting. Ideal for relaxing, the pool was very nice and we made use of the sauna. Good wifi, very rare in cottages we have been to in the past. Days out were easy, good links to main roads and attractions, plenty to see and do.

A cosy bolt-hole, great for a winter retreat. We loved the wood-burner, and the swimming pool was a treat, too. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, and the owners were very welcoming.

During our stay a change of ownership took place which we weren’t expecting and were concerned at the time but needn’t have been. New owners made us feel very welcome and settled. A great stay.

Had a lovely time with our 2year old granddaughter. The animals were very close so didn’t have to go far to see them every morning. Cottage was welcoming and cosy with scones, butter and a pint of milk when we arrived. Great playground and indoor play area. The pool is warm and accessible most of the time. Back garden is basic but easy to get to. More dog walks could’ve been identified for families visiting with dogs. £35 for fuel for one week for two adults and one under 3yr old was too high as the weather was warm and we didn’t use the heating hardly at all. I lit a fire on the last evening purely because we hadn’t. We had a fabulous time making some precious memories with our granddaughter. She loved the animals the having the freedom to explore the outside play area.

An excellent cottage with top class equipment and furnishings. The owners are helpful and pleasant. The only very minor problem is in the location - really out in the farm fields!! I would really like to return in the future.

Had a fantastic time at Nethway Farm. It is in a beautiful location and feels very remote, but is only minutes away from Kingswear/Dartmouth and up the coast to Brixham and Paignton. It is very quiet and peaceful. The animals on the farm are all very friendly and enjoyed a good feed of apples and carrots! There is also a lot set up for little ones with a little park and room with toys and lots of ride on toys, which were an added bonus. The pool area was clean and a nice temperature. Would definitely stay here again.
