We visited 'Haverigg' in October. Our two little dogs came with us also. Natterjack cottage provided us with a warm and comfortable base . The fresh flowers were a lovely idea. It was also a nice surprise to find milk, tea and coffee on our arrival. The views over the coast where lovely to wake up to in a morning. We haven't been to this part of Cumbria before and we all thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful walks by the sea. We will certainly come back for another visit.

Just what we needed. Great views from 1st floor living room, dog friendly, comfortable (especially the bed). Sited in an interesting community and being close to the waters edge brilliant for just getting out there for the dogs, or just being able to watch the world go by. Great local and very friendly amenities - local shops and pub.

Stayed In haverigg many times but this was the first time in this cottage.i know no one had been in the cottage for a few weeks prior to our stay so was very disappointed when we arrived to a very cold cottage after a long drive. We couldn’t work out the heating system so rang the caretaker who told us how to put it on. She said she couldn’t make it to the cottage that morning and had asked someone else to do it which obviously they hadn’t. The beds were clean but that was about it no where had really been cleaned which to me it should have been spotless as no one had been in before us, we had to buy a new dish cloth as the one left was filthy and smelt. This was the first cottage we’ve stayed in with no welcome pack, to be fair just a small bottle of milk in the fridge would have been gratefully received to make a drink their was coffee tea and sugar( not sure how long it had been their sugar was rock hard) I no these are probably small picky things but a clean welcoming cottage makes your holiday. This cottage could make a lovely holiday cottage if it is looked after properly and maintained. The area is lovely not much to do in the village but for us it’s perfect, beach right on the door which was a great hit for the dog, a chippy close by and a small shop. It’s also a great base to travel round the lakes with great opportunities to see the views
