Steeped in history, built all of the way back in 1702, Nancroft is a spacious, four bedroom, detached property, set on a working dairy and sheep farm. Located amongst beautiful countryside with a backdrop to Clitheroe and its castle, there is a host of wildlife buzzing around. From deer to stoats, pheasants to woodpeckers, this is a fantastic property from which to ‘animal watch’ whilst sitting on the living room window ledge. Upon entering you will walk into the boot area where you can kick off your shoes after a busy day exploring. Walk through into the open plan kitchen/dining room where you can cook up a storm and comfortably seat up to eight. There are two spacious living rooms, both equipped with TV’s. The first living room has a multi-fuel burner, which is a treat during those chillier evenings and there is also a downstairs bathroom. Upstairs there is a family bathroom and four well-presented double size bedrooms with a nice combination of double and twin beds. All of the bedrooms have TV’s so you can happily watch a programme before you sink off to sleep in your comfortable bed.There are fantastic views during a clear day and sometimes too at night when you can see firework displays in the distance. For those keen walkers amongst you, there is a multitude of options on the doorstep, including famous Pendle Hill; the home of the Pendle Witches. The Ribble Valley and Trough of Bowland are also fantastic areas to explore, which also makes this a popular location for cyclists and mountain bikers. Children will love Brockholes Nature Reserve, Bowland Wild Boar Park and the Roman museum at Ribchester. There is also a dry ski slope nearby at Pendle. Only 2 miles from the door, is the fabulous market town of Clitheroe, offering a great selection of shops, pubs and eateries, not to mention a castle with a maze and a museum. All in all, you will be absolutely spoilt for choice at Nancroft, whether you choose to stay in and enjoy the property or go out and explore this magnificent region. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
