The village is home to the Ice Factor (largest ice climbing wall in the UK), Atlas Brewery and the famous Aluminium Story. Steeped in history with stunning scenery and wildlife, the area boasts a wide range of outdoor activities. Mountain biking, climbing, skiing, canoeing, sailing, fishing and an array of walks are just some of the activities available. There are shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance, and Glencoe, Fort William and Oban are easily reached. Shop and pubs ¼ mile.

    The property was very clean and comfortable. It was warm and easy to manage. It is a pity that it is attached to another - much less well maintained property - but that didn't really matter to us. The garden is pretty and well maintained, with secure fences for our dog to roam in. The views from the windows are stunning! Just one tiny moan - there could be a couple of better pans in the kitchen - the frying pan was no longer non-stick and we needed to have a non-stick saucepan. We would definitely stay again if we were to visit the Highlands. And, by the way, everyone we met on our holiday was really friendly and helpful.

    Really beautiful location and some great places to eat locally. Everyone in town was very friendly. Was a bit disappointed by the starkness of the house and would have hoped to see some more thought in the decor (some soft furnishings would have gone a long way - think lots of blankets and some updated furniture) I didn’t relish my return in the evening. Also had to clean crockery before use as it was dirty, as were drawer handles and toaster. Lots of dead insects in light fittings and corners. Otherwise, house offered good amenities I.e. washing machine and drying rack etc. Terrible shower which kept changing temperature and burnt me more than once.

    Lovely little house, very comfortable and perfect base to explore the area. A few minutes walk into the town. Good information and books about the local area as well.

    Lovely house in a beautiful location. The village was nice and friendly, lots of nice walks and places to eat. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for the long weekend. Would stay again

    Even with a car breakdown the holiday was excellent. The cottage was perfectly appointed and great to relax before and after walking in the mountains including Ben Nevis.
