We spent a few days at Myrtle cottage in celebration of our wedding anniversary. Although very compact, it was a delightful cosy cottage. The area was ideal for walking, and travelling around in a short time. Plenty of good eateries nearby. Lovely weekend.

Lovely little cottage on the heart of the countryside but close to all the attractions on the south coast and beyond. Village shop and decent within walking distance but don't forget you torch as the village doesn't have street lighting !

We had a fabulous stay at Myrtle Cottage, what a little gem in a picture postcard village. Comfy and well equipped and so nice to be able to bring the dog with no extra charge. Fabulous walking in the area, we will definitely be staying again.

no mobile signal, we were warned about this by other reviewers and it was OK a few minutes away. Shortage of up to date information about local places of interest - 2015 info in folder! Nothing about ferry choices to Isle of Wight, and couldn't use Google to find out obviously not landlords fault. My husband found bed uncomfortable but I was OK. Good village shop and pub with great food and friendly service. Only said we wouldn't visit again as we like to go to different places every time

We enjoyed our stay at Myrtle Cottage. Clean and comfortable accommodation, plenty of room for 2 and a pet. Nice pub in the village serving decent pub style food. Well stocked local shop and an excellent tea room all within a 10 minute walk. The owners had thoughtfully left a welcome pack which included milk, shortbread and a small bottle of bubbly. Some visitors may find the poor wi-fi signal and mobile coverage an issue, but this didn't effect our enjoyment. We would not hesitate to return.
