Our holiday unfortunately started with cleaning. Not something I expect to do, especially after it taking 10 hours instead of 5 to get to the location due to traffic. It wasn't mild dust, it was thick heavy cobwebby dust including multiple spiders, alive and dead. The location is beautiful and despite the musty smell on most of the furniture the cottage itself was ok. We went to one last year that was booked through the same company and it was worlds apart when it came to facilities and cleanliness. The owners were ok and my kids loved the pony ride, unfortunately it ended very abruptly when one of them took it upon themselves to yell at my 6 year old. Despite all this the area is lovely and we spent a few days out and about in Plymouth.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; First and foremost I am sorry that you were unhappy with your stay here at Myrna and let me assure you we take complaints very seriously. Thank you for choosing our bungalow and taking the time to write a review. Your feedback is extremely valuable to us as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We apologise for your poor experience and are taking action on your review and intend to put in extra effort to ensure the bungalow is clean. We pride ourselves on ensuring our customers have a lovely holiday in this beautiful area of Devon and have many guests returning year after year for their holidays and some have done so for the last twenty years. It is my usual routine to greet customers on arrival and ensure they have everything they need and ask them to inform me if anything is wrong. I am pleased the children enjoyed the free pony ride. The health and safety of our guests is a priority so I feel I must explain why I yelled at your 6 year old child. Whilst you were absent, one of the children picked up an eight week old puppy whilst playing with the brood of puppies. I yelled spontaneously in concern for the well-being of the very young puppy. Please feel free to contact me directly so we may discuss further.
