This was an amazing house and the location was fantastic. I would definitely go again and recommend it to others. We had a fabulous holiday and the pool etc. was a much loved extra. Aberdovey is a lovely little town and had everything you need for a stay there.

Aberdovey is a little gem of a holiday destination, the views & the town & especially the food are all top notch. We had an amazing holiday until the day we got home & was harassed by the owner sheila saying we had left the cottage in a mess when in reality we had cleaned up from top to bottom. Really spoilt what was a great week. So i would highly recommend Aberdovey but if u want to go away & enjoy yourselves stay away from mynydd bychan as the owners are more concerned about keeping their 5 stars than actually letting their guests, which paid over £1100 for 4 nights, enjoy their holidays. We had beds un-made, couldn't use the washing machine as the cleaners had left wet towels in there all week & the pool table was nowhere near what is shown on the photos.

Response on behalf of the owner; I am very disappointed to read your review of your holiday at our property, which does contradict feedback I received by text from you on the day you were leaving expressing a clear interest in wanting to return. I am pleased to hear you enjoyed your holiday but as we discussed, after I received complaints from both the cleaners and maintenance person regarding the state our house was left in, it was clear the terms and conditions of the booking were not met with regards to leaving the house in a similar condition it was when you arrived. In response to each of your points: It was only the additional single bed that was not made up as this is only done so on request as it is an extra bed above the occupancy level. Had this been raised as an issue on arrival I can assure you linen would have been made available. I understand the previous guests had left towels in the washing machine and the cycle had not finished when you arrived. This would not have made the washing machine inaccessible. Of course if I had been made aware I could have arranged for the clean load of washing to be collected. The pool table in the games room is not a professional pool table and is as it is displayed in the photos. Yes there is some sign of wear as is expected when it is used by all guests of all ages on a weekly basis. To conclude, yes, we are proud of our 5 star property and we do our very best to ensure it maintains that standard for all our guests. It is important to us that all our guests enjoy their stay. You will see from all other reviews there is nothing similar in the 5 years we have been letting out our property.

Fabulous house with stunning location. Pool and hot tub were used daily even though the weather wasn’t great to us. Everything you could possibly need in a house was provided. If been really picky the games room could do with some tlc but we still used it plenty. Dovey Inn was a great dog friendly pub for food. Our favourite was The White Hall at Twyn, dog friendly and great food. Would highly recommend this house and would love to return.
