The cottage had all we needed for a great holiday, even a good selection of DVDs! WiFi and good mobile phone coverage were a a bonus. Good location, fairly close to town but far enough to feel away from it all. Great garden, safe, large and enclosed for our dog and lovely to sit out in to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Had lots of good walks around Thornhill and further afield . Beaches are about an hours drive. All in all a fabulous week, made all the better by glorious weather. We would definitely stay at Muirhead again.

Absolutely lovely Cottage, set in its wrap around gardens in a beautiful secluded setting. Superb Log Burner, with a free supply of Logs. The owners were extremely helpful, and can't thank them highly enough. If the cottage was ever up for sale, and I could afford it, I would buy it immediately.

This was our fourth visit to this cottage ,love it here because it's so homely and comfortable. The garden is very secure for the dogs ,who didn't want to come in ,even in the rain ! Lovely touch for festive period of a Christmas tree and some decorations with a bottle of bubbles to celebrate the new year. We will be back , still lots to do and see in the local area.
