This is a small but well-equipped cottage, located up a quiet lane just outside the town centre of Taynuilt. It was perfect for me travelling alone, and would be fine (if a little snug) for a couple. The cottage genuinely does have a mountain view - the front window looks out directly to the Stob Dearg (Taynuilt Peak) top of Ben Cruachan (see photo). This is a bit more reliable than the weather forecast for gauging the conditions on the hills! The cottage has good heating (although I barely needed it in mid-July), a decent shower, comfortable bed, and plenty of kitchen equipment. The front room recliner armchairs are also very comfortable, although the wicker table-and-chair set is a bit small. There's an outside sitting area behind the cottage with a bench and some chairs, plus a clothes line for drying (although the cottage doesn't have a washing machine). Although there's no wi-fi, I had good 4G mobile signal so didn't need it - check with your provider, of course, but Taynuilt seems to be well covered.

Compact, cosy and comfortable. We had everything we needed. A proper small table and chairs would be nice - tall people can't get their legs under the wicker table. Good choice for a peaceful break.
