Description

The perfect retreat for couples, with stunning coastal views across Mounts Bay and St Michaels Mount.

Mount View and Bay View enjoy uninterrupted, panoramic sea views, taking in the beautiful Mounts Bay and the breathtaking St Michael’s Mount in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is set in the heart of the historic town of Marazion where legends of smuggling, shipwrecks and pirates abound! This unique coastal location is a shimmering, magical place to relax whatever the season.

The accommodation in these semi-detached studios is on the ground floor and has been designed to a very good standard providing a waterfront setting. They are spacious with a contemporary ambience and a Mediterranean style that ensures guests can unwind in a relaxed and tranquil haven. At the end of the day, return to the studio for a glass of your favourite tipple on the patio, and enjoy the home made, freshly baked scone cream tea provided in the welcome pack.
Marazion has a wonderful selection of restaurants, tea rooms, cafés, delicatessen, friendly pubs, and art and craft shops. You can reach St Michael’s Mount on foot at low tide via a causeway, or at high tide by small boat. The long white sandy beach is ideal to relax, enjoy the sun and sea, and is equally appealing for an invigorating walk on a wild windy day during the winter.

The accommodation is an ideal base from which to explore the delights of West Cornwall with Lands End, Sennen Cove, the quaint fishing harbours of Newlyn and Mousehole all close by. Penzance, St Ives, the Minack Theatre and sub tropical gardens are worth a day out, and wildlife enthusiasts will love the bird marshes on the outskirts of Marazion. The area attracts walkers, art lovers and water sports enthusiasts (Marazion is popular with kite surfers, wind surfers and for kayaking).
A variety of small, quality shops, friendly pubs and a great selection of restaurants all within 500 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Beautiful place to stay, cannot recommend it enough. The studio is in a gorgeous position well equipped, clean & comfortable. Peaceful even though only a short walk into town. Also anyone wanting a romantic break would love it there. Heather who owns the studios gave us lots of interesting information & is very friendly & welcoming.

Wonderful location with stunning views across the bay to St Michaels Mount. Nice bright studio with all the mod cons. Comfortable bedroom with stunning views. It was lovely to sit out in the garden for breakfast with the sea breeze and a relaxing base to come back to after a days touring or chilling on the beautiful beaches.

Spent a lovely week at Mount View in Marazion. The apartment (it's not really a cottage, that isn't a criticism) was light and spacious with everything me and my partner needed. We found having the shower cubical in the corner of the bedroom a little strange to start with but it soon became a novelty. The overriding reason to stay at Mount View would be just that. The views from the little shared porch were beautiful, even when St Michael's mount was shrouded in morning mist. Our only slight criticisms would be that the wifi signal was sperradic and being able to hear the couple in the next apartment through the adjoining door.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you so much for your comments, the views are spectacular from the large shared decking and lawn area (we don't have a shared porch). Also due to our location the wifi can be a little intermittent due to atmospheric conditions.

The view was as expected, very good, The property was ok, the bare essentials given, 1 toilet roll, a coffee machine but no coffee, the smell of damp under the kitchen sink was VERY strong, all in all it needed some TLC, owners came and said hi and they were helpfull, , in this day and age, with so many people offering accommodation, I feel a little extra goes a long way

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments - we always welcome guest feedback. As you mentioned, we are on site and happy to help in any way we can. Mount View is self- catering accommodation and we do provide guests with initial toilet roll for each bathroom – Tea, Coffee, Sugar, Milk and Cornish Fairing biscuits or a Cream Tea on arrival. We have never supplied the coffee for the coffee maker as we find guests tastes vary considerably. Thank you for pointing out the damp smell under the sink, this has now been addressed by our plumber and appears to have been a slow leak issue. We always encourage guests to inform us of any issues during their stay this way we can be sure to address and rectify any matters swiftly.
