Art galleries include the Tate Modern and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. St Ives Bay sweeps round past the wide beach and sandy dunes of the Hayle Estuary, a popular spot for birdwatchers, and up to the famous Godrevey Lighthouse perched on its rocky outcrop. There is also a lido and restaurant a short walk away.
The coastline attracts dolphins, basking sharks, seals and bird life. The rugged North Cornwall Coast is popular with surfers and walkers with its long stretches of coastal pathways.
