Morningfield is just over 2 miles from the city centre and Inverness Castle. The golf club is a little closer, and there’s a fantastic driving range just round the corner to get in some practice. The main draw of Morningfield though is its proximity to the main routes out of Inverness. You can be on the shores of Loch Ness in 10 minutes!
Morningfield really is an excellent base from which to explore the Highlands. You can quickly get out into the dramatic landscapes and see many world-famous sights. Loch Ness to the west has already been mentioned, but beyond the loch you have Fort William, the Isle of Skye and other sights up and down the west coast. The NC500 takes in the entire northern Highlands north of Inverness. To the east you’ll find beaches, the lovely Black Isle and the resident pod of dolphins in the Moray Firth, as well as Culloden Battlefield! And to the south are the magnificent Cairngorm Mountains with ski stations and hiking trails. Morningfield really is at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands.
