We expected basic cosy accommodation and it was but also offers a secluded quiet bolt hole. Kitchen work surfaces and cupboards, appliances were clean (didn’t actually use the dishwasher). The bathroom surfaces were clean but accessories basket holders were dusty apart from the top surface. There were cobwebs in the vaulted ceilings. Crockery was a bit of a miss match. The advert says Wi-Fi but there isn’t. (Definitely due a deep clean after a summer season). There was no welcome pack but 3 hand written notes instructing about the limitation of the systems hot water and removal of ashes for log burner and septic tank. The double bed is a snug fit (sideways walking to get into) Bed comfortable and sheets clean, sadly the sofa and side chairs are showing their age on the armrests and upholstery could do with a clean. The views are fantastic over the estuary. Sufficient for our needs and whilst quaint and different is beginning to show its age in places and no Wi-Fi will frustrate many.

We booked the accommodation as it clearly stated Wi-Fi and electric heating, upon arrival and after speaking to the owner we discovered the heating was broken unless we lit a log burner and there was no Wi-Fi. The cabin is meant to sleep four but the furniture in the lounge is old and shabby and would not seat four comfortably the extractor in the bathroom is thick with black dust and the flooring throughout is cork tiling which is looking extremely dirty and worn. Outside the property there was dog excrement that must of been left from the previous occupants and quite clearly the property is not well maintained and checked.
